About Sonoma Horse Park

Founded in 2010, Sonoma Horse Park has become the benchmark of west coast show jumping. Situated on the banks of the Petaluma River, Sonoma Horse Park is a world-class horse show facility located just 25 miles north of San Francisco in Southern Sonoma County. The 85-acre facility boasts twelve meticulously groomed arenas and is the ideal showcase for horse sports. Together with Headlands Management, Sonoma Horse Park’s management team produces seven annual “A” and “AA” rated show jumping competitions. The team’s diverse professional experience has set a new standard of excellence in horse show management.

About Management Team

Ashley Herman – SHP Owner, Show Management, Sponsorship

Ashley began riding at 4 years old, and spent the next 14 years competing throughout the country. Ashley competed at the Grand Prix level, and was a two-time National Champion in the Junior Hunters at Madison Square Garden; additionally, in 1998, Ashley became the first junior rider ever to win Champion at all three National Finals in the same year.

Ashley’s professional career began in New York City where she worked in event management at Goldman Sachs, planning multi-million dollar events and conferences all over the world. In 2009, Ashley moved to San Francisco to oversee the construction of Sonoma Horse Park. In addition to managing SHP, Ashley also worked as part of the organizing team for the world-renowned, Gucci Masters in Paris. Ashley’s passion for large-scale events and client service is the foundation for SHP’s meticulous organization and unrivaled exhibitor experience.

Sally Hudson – Headlands Management Owner, Show Management

Sally has been managing horse shows for over 25 years. Starting in the late 1980’s, Sally managed the Monterey National Horse Show for 10 years, and then the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center until 2010 when she moved her competitions to Sonoma Horse Park. Sally is a United States Equestrian Federation – “R” Jumper Judge, C1 Steward and Vaulting TD. For the Fédération Equestre Internationale, she is a Chief Jumping Steward and Chief Vaulting Steward. For the United States Hunter Jumper Association, Sally is the Zone 10 Coordinator (California, Nevada), which includes the North American Junior Young Rider Championships, Pony Jumper Championships and Junior Jumper Championships. Sally is also an Advisor to the Zone 10 Jumper Committee, a past Vice Chairperson for the Zone 10 Hunter Committee, and finally Secretary to the Pacific Coast Horse Shows Association.

Rachael Guajardo – Director of Operations, Event Management

Rachael joined the SHP team in 2011, and has been Ashley’s “right-hand woman” ever since. Her responsibilities include managing operations, business development, special events, social media and winery participation. Rachael is also responsible for the “little something extra” that people have come to expect from SHP. Whether it’s break-dancers, aerialists, professional fire dancers, manicurists, the various musicians and entertainers, celebrated wineries or specialty food vendors, Rachael is SHP’s resident entertainment guru.
